Carson students build architecture project

Six Carson School students in FamiliesFORWARD’s After-School Program participated in an architecture project sponsored by Architecture by Children (ABC) program in the spring of 2014.

The students’ assignment was to reconstruct three city blocks near Fort Washington Way in downtown Cincinnati. Under the direction of two RWA Architects, the students worked on the project for several months and displayed it in the lobby of the main branch of the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, downtown.

Students who participated: sixth-graders Richard Gallagher and Arian Haysbert; fifth-graders Neamyah Bell, Paige Brown and Trinity Cole; and fourth-grader Dy’rajah Isom.

The Architecture by Children program is sponsored by the American Institute of Architects and the Architectural Foundation of Cincinnati and started in 1994.
