Hays-Porter students receive school uniforms

Fifty-five Hays-Porter School students in grades K-5 participated in Operation School Bell on Sept. 26, 2013, in which the children received free uniforms through the Assistance League of Greater Cincinnati.

Students were referred to participate if their parents needed assistance in obtaining uniforms for school. Assistance League volunteers assessed each student for correct sizing.

While some students were being assisted with obtaining uniforms, Hays-Porter staff and Assistance League volunteers kept the other students occupied by providing them with engaging activities during their wait.

Students each received a bag full of items: three uniform shirts, two pairs of uniform pants, one jacket, one pair of shoes, one pack of socks, one pack of underwear and a belt. The students were excited about their uniforms and they could not wait to wear their new clothes to school the following day.
