Welcome to FamiliesFORWARD!

Through our many programs and partnerships within the community, we are devoted to helping children reach their full potential.

Please take time to explore our site to learn more about the organization, which has existed since 1875. And come back often as we update you on our latest activities.

If you have any questions or would like to become involved, don’t hesitate to contact us.

—Deborah Mariner Allsop,
Executive Director/CEO

Why volunteers are special: "They give their time to be with me. They help me with my homework. They are nice to me and are always happy to see me. They make me want to volunteer myself."

- Aniayah Smith, kindergarten,
Hays-Porter

"Volunteers are special people who take time out to help. Life would not be so exciting without you!"

- Kemaree Jones, second grade,
Bond Hill Academy

"I believe people should help those less fortunate than them. I believe we should all be charitable. I believe no one should look down on anyone else. I believe no one should be judged by their flaws."

- Asia Hardin, fifth grade,
Bond Hill Academy

What Makes Us Different

Our enrichment programs increase grade-level promotion, graduation rates, college enrollment and community involvement. Because students are more engaged, schools experience fewer bad-behavior incidents, less absenteeism and lower dropout rates.
